Gowanus develops visual arts programs for local artists that are inclusive, and as accessible as possible to a diverse audience
Arts Gowanus connects the world to the Gowanus creative community by organizing art events to promote the arts in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Our programming consists of accessible community exhibitions, public arts events, artist workshops, art fairs and curations featuring local artists. Our largest event of the year is Gowanus Open Studios, which takes place every October and features over 300 artists. We cultivate supportive artist-to-artist relationships through monthly networking and business meetings, a workshop series, and artistic collaborations.
