Our third annual Patterns Gala is scheduled for Thursday, May 9 (6-9:30pm) at The Old Stone House! Once again, all attendees are strongly encouraged to wear the craziest patterns they can! Come and enjoy art, food, drinks, live music, raffles, and more.

Please purchase a ticket to the Gala or consider sponsoring the event. Your support will help raise much needed funds that will allow us to continue our important community-building work. Arts Gowanus is committed to utilizing art as a catalyst to build deeper community relationships and a more equitable neighborhood.

PLEASE HELP US CONTINUE OUR WORK!
Full transparency -- Arts Gowanus is struggling financially. We’ve finally taken the necessary step to add another team member to help with our expanded programming and our forthcoming stewardship of subsidized studio spaces, however our shoestring budget is being stretched to its limit. We have BIG PLANS for programming in 2024! Funds raised at our Patterns Gala will help us #keepgowanuscreative!

DID YOU KNOW?
Along with organizing multiple events and opportunities for artists each year, Arts Gowanus proudly serves on the Gowanus Neighborhood Task Force's Public Infrastructure Committee and on the steering committee of the Gowanus Improvement District. Made up of volunteer stakeholders, these groups work toward a more just, inclusive, and resilient Gowanus. Arts Gowanus fights for a sustainable future for artists.

Arts Gowanus also served on the Gowanus Neighborhood Coalition for Justice (GNCJ), a diverse coalition that worked to elevate the voices in our community that were not being heard in the City’s planning process. Through our work with GNCJ, Arts Gowanus reached a historic agreement to secure subsidized artist studios and a community arts center as part of the Gowanus Rezoning.
